EFMI WG EVAL
At the international HEC 2016 conference in Munich, Elske Ammenwerth and Michael Rigby as editors invited to the official Book Launch Reception for their new book:
Evidence-Based Health Informatics - Promoting Safety and Efficiency Through Scientific Methods and Ethical Policy.
Around 50 colleagues, friends and authors joined the celebrations and congratulated the editors and authors.
The book is available open access.
The objectives of STARE-HI: STAtement on the Reporting of Evaluation studies in Health Informatics are to provide guidelines for writing and assessing evaluation reports in Health Informatics, and by doing this to improve the quality of published evaluation studies in Health Informatics; and thus to improve the evidence-base of Health Informatics
STARE-HI has been adopted by IMIA and EFMI:

STARE-HI was reprinted in: Talmon J, Ammenwerth E, Brender J, de Keizer N, Nykänen P, Rigby M. STARE-HI - Statement on Reporting of Evaluation Studies in Health Informatics. Yearbook of Medical Informatics 2009: 23-31.
An elaboration and explanation paper on STARE-HI is also available:

The objective of GEP-HI is to provide guidelines for best evaluation practice for health informatics and to make them available for health care professionals, health informatics professionals, decision-makers, and other stakeholders. The work is a shared activity of the EFMI WG EVAL and IMIA WG Technology Assessment and Quality Improvement.
